The View from The Shard with Champagne for One 118100913

I have a voucher which we chose to spilt, but at the moment i am having trouble trying to complete it. I do not want to waste it on an experience. The Shard was great, busy but we had a clear day. So that part has been fine.

We had the best afternoon at The View from The Shard, very relaxing and welcoming and the best views around. All the team were very friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable and memorable.

The set up outside was a little crazy, maybe we just visited on a super busy day? Staff were doing a great job of organising everything but we didn’t make it inside before our booked time. Once inside security was a joke - I set off the alarm and was asked “do you have anything in your pockets?” To which I replied “no” and was waved on. I have to say this concerned me as it didn’t feel like this was very thorough for a security check. We finally made it to the top. Organisation was good inside and we went to all the available floors. No time limit so you can spend as much time as you want spotting the sights.

We had the best day. We had a voucher for the Shard and a meal at Marco Pierre White. A fantastic day making memories.

We booked our experience about 4 weeks before we arrived in London. We presented our voucher on arrival and everything was very smooth. Staff were friendly. We booked for 5pm but arrived at 4.30pm . The View from the Shard was very busy so finding a table was difficult. However we wondered around and eventually a table came free. It was a sunny day when we went, so the views were good.

Fab experience and easy to book. Lovely glass of Moet was included. Would definitely recommend.

We picked a lovely day in March All went well until we re squired about the inclusive photos we had taken They presented them in a glossy album but I didn’t want the album just the photos. We were given short shrift by the femss as le operative implying you must want to have the album!!!! But I stood my ground and was told they would be emailed within 24hrs, that won’t a problem I informed them !!!! The bit in between was lovely, we had champagne and as we got there for when the shard opened it was easy to get around and take photos. We then went to Marco Pierre Whites steakhouse in the evening. Be aware the value of the meal you get is £55.00 Which includes a 8oz rump steak, any other cut you chose you had to pay a supplement on top plus none of the steaks came with any sides so you have to pay for sides & £6.50 You get a choice of 4 cocktails A choice of 3 or starters And a choice of 3 or 4 desserts Our waiter was a nice guy and liked to indulge in humour. The guy in the blue suit who collected our main course plates asked if everything was ok? I pointed to the pile of chewed gristle on my plate as no ssid if was disappointing, to which he replied “we can’t help that” and walked off Basically he was just a young “Chippy” lad put in a blue suit to spoil what was otherwise a nice evening
