We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the buccleuch and queensberry hotel. We were cordially welcomed and everything was just lovely . The food was exceptional- at both breakfast and in the evening. Loved our experience.

Two nights stay was comfortable and clean. Room was big, bathroom very modern and fantastic shower with deep bath and lots of hot water. Hot weather but fan provided. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

We bought the deal way back before the pandemic so had a long wait to use it. I am so glad we waited as this hotel was a treat and a half. Located in the what must be the cleanest little village I have seen in a long time. What a gorgeous hotel. The staff are all incredibly helpful and friendly and can't do enough to please. We stayed in one of the garden rooms next to the lovely beer garden which was delightful. The room (Dalwhat) was done out to a very high specification. Tastefully decorated with an enormous toilet/shower room that was as big as the bedroom. The place was so comfortable and fresh, it was a joy to stay for the 2 nights. The restaurant was fabulous too. All very tastefully decorated and the service consistently brilliant for both dinner and breakfast. Delicious food with plenty of options cooked beautifully. We had just come from a couple of nights at Barony Castle in Eddlestone near Peebles and thought that was great but this was a step up from that. Thanks to all of the staff who made our visit a real pleasure and a great treat to ourselves. A great place to stay for a visit to either the town of Dumfries (8 miles away and a trip to see Robert Burns house/museum etc and Dumfries Museum) or a visit to the very gorgeous Drumlanrig Castle which is only 4 miles away. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. Janice Xx
