Watercolour Painting Workshop 11816253

I’ve never picked up a brush before but have always wanted to try watercolours. David was a great tutor, he is patient and lets you go at your own pace but encourages you to have a go. He explains good techniques with colour mixing and lots of advice for painting in watercolours. He answered all my (many) questions and clearly has a passion for painting. I was apprehensive at first, but really pleased I went on David’s workshop and will certainly go again.

A fantastic day and produced two watercolour paintings. The instruction by David was very easy to follow and he was an excellent teacher (as well as a very good artist). Would go on this experience again

Dave is the nicest person I have ever met and his knowledge of watercolour painting is amazing. He managed to teach me more within 5 hours than tutors in college in 2 months. I absolutely loved it! I would highly recommend it.

Basics of Watercolour painting shown how easy to do and how to rectify errors. Well looked after throughout day. A very worthwhile day.

The actual course is great, the instructor very easy to understand. It's a family set up and works really well. David the painter and his wife who,looks after catering and the finances. The place itself needs updating and tidying which is why it's difficult to recommend but the people and the experience are good.

The whole experience was great from start to finish ! Dave and Sylvia were very welcoming attentive and easy to be with going beyond their duties to give us a great day! I was a complete beginner but the level of teaching and the aid of the template meant I came home with a painting that I was proud of ( although it was obvious to all the family which was mine rather than my daughters who is far more artistic!) I was so inspired that I am still driving along looking at all the cloud formations and shadows on the hills..... lunch was lovely and I almost enjoyed meeting their pet python! They couln’t Do enough giving us a print out of a map and suggested places for us to visit which we did the next day and had a great snapshot of the surrounding area so feel we had ‘two for one on our experience!! Dave is very talented and a very good teacher! Many thanks from both my daughter and myself ... we are hoping to return !!

I bought 2 x spots on Dave's watercolour painting workshop for my sister and I as a birthday gift. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day, from start to finish. Dave is an incredibly talented artist and it was a privilege to be able to learn a host of hints and tips for watercolour painting. A very relaxing day which included a delicious lunch provided by Dave's wife Sylvia. We would do it again. Many thanks.

We had a very enjoyable day. Colour mixing, tones, complimentary colours were all covered. We chose the sketch we wanted to use from a vast collection. Lunch was delicious too! Thank you.

My fears of being totaly inept and out of my depth were unfounded and I and the other two participants were well looked after and encouraged throughout the day to produce our own very different but also very passable watercolour painting. David was a patient and very god teacher and the other participants were a joy to be with as well. It obviously helps that people are on a single mission. Sylvia put on a very nice spread for lunch and the tea was much enjoyed. Thanks for a very nice day

I went on the watercolour day with a friend and came away with a painting at the end of the day . I had painted before years ago but had forgotten a lot of tips etc . We learnt about colours, mixing and shading and lots more . David and his wife are lovely and friendly and helpful. I would recommend this experience .
