It was a most welcome gift, All the staff we encountered were very polite and helpful. The views were fantastic especially on the sunny day we went. Would recommend to all.

The food and service was excellent. We thought the portions would be tiny as it was a taster menu but the food exceeded our expectations. Cocktails to start with were also really good. The whole meal was really good value, we left feeling absolutely full!! We also had a bottle of fizz! Thoroughly recommend.

Just had a lovely couple of days here. You really feel the relaxed atmosphere when you go in and Nicky and Mark the owners are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are nice, tidy and clean with all you need for a short break. The building itself is quirky and well maintained with lots of nice little touches that keep you looking out of interest, much nicer than these large sterile modern hotels. Breakfast was good and we had a great evening in the bar with Mark and some other guests, a real "must" to get the background and feeling of the place. We would happily go back to see them when the opportunity arises.

Hercules was fantastic from start to finish.. bought as a treat for the family after my eldest son finished his exams. Lovely to be out together and we all enjoyed this experience.
