The day out was great in all respects. But we had been given a gift and could choose anything up to the gift price. We knew we had to buy the experience before Sunday, but thought, due to all the BuyaGift pages saying, 'valid for a year', that once noted it was valid for a year. No. The experience had to be taken by the expiry date too and that's not made clear enough. Luckily we had decided to do it now so did not lose out. It costs £20 to extend the voucher. So I'd say, don't bother with an open voucher that can be used for anything, get the experience itself. Added to which, I was emailed a load of cheaper offers for the same experience but couldn't use them as I had been given a gift voucher. It was all a bit frustrating, but the day out, seeing the animals and tea were great.

The gentleman that walked us down to the afternoon tea entrance was very friendly and informative, then the Afternoon tea itself was detailed and very delicious and we were even given more of our favourite and we get to take the rest home, the service was excellent

Amazing food and wines on a beautiful and historical train

My 13-year-old and I had an amazing time on the meerkat experience. We went into three different enclosures where the meerkats climbed on us, sat on us and we got to feed them. We were really lucky as in the last enclosure there were three babies (6 wks) who also climbed on us and wanted lots of snuggles. Our guide was Charlotte who was fab and very knowledgeable. The actual zoo is great too with lots of different animals to see and some to handfeed as well. Definitely recommend this experience gift, and Hoo Zoo

Got this voucher for my birthday. I have now booked the skydiving and have found it very straightforward to book. I will be using buyagift again in the future

After 2 attempts in the summer, cancelled due to poor weather conditions, it was 3rd time lucky. The staff were very friendly and helpful on all occasions, and apologetic when cancelled. The flight was smooth and interesting, going over the sea, over a castle and grounds etc. About 15 minutes into the flight, you take over the controls, under the guidance of the pilot.

This escape room experience was like we have never completed before and we have done a few! The staging, difficulty and whole experience was excellent. We did 46 below and even with 6 people was still challenging. Thoroughly recommend and it’s actually on the Billing Aquadrome site.

Had a great time at the murder mystery evening at the Elmbank York hotel. It was an entertaining and funny dinner, and the event felt pretty immersive and interactive with the actors sitting with all the guests.
