Take to the skies just as the RAF pilots did when training for WWII with this nostalgic 40 minute Tiger Moth flight. This incredible experience will truly take you back to a golden age of aviation as you take the controls of this vintage bi-plane. Your fully qualified and experienced pilot will greet you on arrival and get you kitted up in your flight jacket, leather cap and goggles, ready for some great photo opportunities as you take a wander over to the Tiger Moth. Your pilot will familiarise you with the controls in the cockpit before you both strap yourselves in for takeoff. Once in the air you’ll be treated to a demonstration of the capabilities of this surprisingly manoeuvrable machine as you swoop up with the birds. Then, if your pilot believes you are ready, you can take the controls, under their watchful supervision of course. You’ll hand back controls for landing to complete a most memorable flight.

What do I need to know?

• There is no minimum age, apart from at the West Sussex location where you must be at least 16, however at all locations you must be at least 1.5m/4ft11 tall to participate
• The maximum height is 1.93m/6'4''
• The maximum weight is 102kg/16 stone
• Please note that diabetics may be asked to produce a medical certificate, so please ask the operator upon booking
• If you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, giddiness or blackouts, high blood pressure, or heart conditions then it is not recommended that you take part in this experience
• People with disabilities are fully catered for, however please make the operator aware upon booking so relevant plans can be put in place for your day
• You are advised to wear soft soled shoes
• All aircraft are dual controlled and are piloted by experienced and fully qualified pilots
• You are welcome to bring a camera on the day, but please note that they cannot be used inside the cockpit for safety reasons
• Spectators are welcome with 50% off the entrance fee
• Entry for children is free
• A Stampe SV4c is used instead of a Tiger Moth in Gloucestershire, however, the two planes are almost identical
• You are advised to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment
