When arrived I was welcomed to my experience which was a 40th wedding anniversary present from my wife, and asked straight away if I wanted to extend my hour experience by another 30 minutes which I was told lots of people want to do, if so it would cost me another £75.
I was then given some basic information about my flight controls on the aircraft I had chosen, and was asked to watch a TV video about lots of technical information regards the aircraft and its controls and flight movements.
That lasted some 35minutes sittings in front of a TV, then waited for someone to come and collect me after about another 5 minutes pilot Dave came and took to the simulator.
I was asked to sit in the pilots chair and was told we are taking off shortly from Salzburg airport, apparently I had no choose as to which airport to fly from so with the help of Dave the experience began.
After a few moments of using the controls, pilot Dave started to explain about the auto pilot and he set up the controls so the auto pilot could take over the aircraft shortly after this that was the case, so for the next period of time I was just sitting in the seat talking to Dave about different experiences.
20 minutes into my experience of sittings in the pilots seat, I was allowed to land the plane do not know where I landed the plane I was not told, so that was then the end of my experience.
Dave took me back to reception and confirmed with me I did not want the extra 30 minutes at a cost of £75, and gave me a certificate for my experience.
I was so disappointed by the whole experience, I felt uneasy at the start when the impression was given to me about spending £75 to extend my experience, and then felt was left alone to watch a TV video about things I really did not have to bother with, and then to have no choice as to which airport to depart and land at, and to have most of the experience on auto pilot,
I was so disappointed with my experience.
