I would recommend this hotel for afternoon tea. The weather was perfect so we could sit outside. Such a lovely relaxing view. Hotel very clean and staff very friendly. The afternoon tea was really nice and care shown in presentation. Would definitely come back even though further than I’d normally travel so we stopped off at Westfield after to finish our day.

everything was so relaxed and enjoyable, from when we arrived until we left. The service was excellent as was the food. Definitely recommend

I had such a lovely time with my youngest daughter that I am planning two more visits before the end of the year. The only problem is trying to but rwo sets of voucher for three. The staff was so helpful and pleasant 0

This place's location makes it a really worthwhile place to go for a buyagift afternoon tea. The hotel serves its afternoon teas in the bar, where there are tables along the windows and on the balcony overlooking the small harbour, and with across the lock to the Thames, and it's really nice to take a stroll before/after. The tea was fairly typical- four fingers of sandwich, two scones and a nice range of 5 petit four cakes. The tea game was strong- only around 8 listed but there was a number of herbal/floral options. It did come in a (refillable?) teabag which normally I'd take issue with but it was proper full leaf/petal tea and meant the bag could be extracted once the tea was strong enough. The cup itself was perfect for it- great bowl shape but nicely weighted. Service wasn't fantastic- we'd advised one of us was vegetarian at the time of ordering and they confirmed this when we got to the table but a tea with meat/fish sandwiches was delivered, which was then removed and returned with a separate plate of veg sandwiches, and then a wait for rewarming scones . Weirdly/worst- we'd waited half an hour before they even asked for our drink order, and later had to remind them- they only came well after an hour, by which time we'd already been served food and eaten through both sandwiches and scones (before they went cold). A tea is fairly straightforward service-wise so it was weird the actual tea was forgotten. That said, it's a *really* pleasant location and even though we were quite thirsty it wasn't a huge inconvenience. It's just a pointer for those who aren't familiar with afternoon teas, or would be worried to have to ask about issues. In summary- good tea and probably one of the best locations in inner London.
