A game changer…..
I was gifted the hire of two e-bikes and it was fantastic from start to finish. John was helpful and informative, the process from booking to picking up the bikes was easy.
We have been thinking of getting e-bikes, now we are getting on in years and this was an ideal way to “try before you buy”. We rode the length of the Tissington Trail and then came back via Hartington to test them on steeper hills. I’m converted- it is so easy. We have done a fair amount of cycling but this was brilliant- for once I wasn’t pushing my bike uphill or lagging behind my husband.
We had a lovely day in the Derbyshire countryside, great pub lunch and were back with time to spare. It was a perfect gift for our needs.

Received this as a birthday gift. The booking process was really easy - I just rand the Bike Barn and they arranged everything! Bikes were fantastic. We had a great day out in Derbyshire.

Great day out
Experience was for me and my husband and to help us decide about buying an electric bike. John at the Bike Barn was really helpful, where to park, routes to follow and advice about the bike. Spent 5hrs out with bike with a couple of stops and did a return 34 mile cycle. Lovely views and easy to follow route with good stops for toilets and snacks. First time on an electric bike for a ride and never cycled that far in a day before. Very enjoyable and sure we will be investing in an electric bike.

Brilliant experience!!
Excellent service from the Bike Barn. Bikes were ready and seats measured correctly for our height. Clear explanation given on how to use the electric bikes and a route map given with highlights/possible cafe stops discussed. From leaving the bike barn in Ashbourne it was a 6min walk to the start of the Tissington Trail. The trail itself runs through stunning scenery and is an easy ride, especially with the electric boost to help. Was a bit apprehensive at first on the bike but soon got used to it and absolutely loved the whole day. Would definitely recommend!
