Wonderful stay
We’ve had a really wonderful stay at Taplow House - such a serene location located walking distance to the Jubilee River and the Thames and to Cliveden, with beautiful grounds including some amazing veteran tulip trees. Service was attentive but relaxed and the food was fantastic - fine dining at dinner time (really delicious and beautifully presented 3 course meal with interesting choices) and delicious breakfast. Room was small but comfortable and the birdsong with the window open was heavenly. Highly recommended!

Birthday treat
We bought this experience to celebrate a birthday and it did not disappoint. The reception staff was welcoming and although we had a standard room, we found it comfortable, clean and well equipped. It had a garden view, which was lovely. The restaurant is pretty and relaxing and the meal excellent. When we arrived people were enjoying afternoon tea on the terrace and that looked very popular. Breakfast was also very good with hot dishes cooked to order. We found all the staff helpful and courteous.There is a lot to do in the area and we enjoyed Cliveden, a National Trust property about 4 miles away.

A Gift We'll Always Cherish
We booked in May so we could take advantage of the beautiful grounds shown on the website, and we weren't disappointed. Our room was elegant and comfortable with an exotic touch--a sunken jacuzzi in the bathroom! We also had a terrace that overlooked the grounds right outside our room. The food was even better: pefectly baked warm scones for afternoon tea, creative and delicious courses for dinner, and poached eggs for breakfast that were just right. The staff were very polite and helpful. Our dinner waiter was rather slow in bringing us our puddings, but as compensation he said the wine we'd ordered would be free on charge. Thus even check-out was positive because we had nothing at all to pay!
