Overview

Partial to a pint or two? Brewhouse and Kitchen are passionate about the really important things in life – food and beer, and with this experience you can indulge in both! Your day will begin with tea or coffee and a delicious bacon sandwich. You’ll then get to learn all about the brewery and their processes before trying your hand at creating your own craft beer. You will begin the process by 'mashing in' and learning about what is happening in the mash tun, before stopping for lunch and beer break. You'll then finish brewing the beer by adding hops and transferring it to the fermenter. Finish with a couple more beers and leave with a brewing certificate! A fantastic day at the Brewhouse and kitchen in Cheltenham. Great food and beer. Interesting to try out making beer with an expert.

Disappointing
01 August 2022
Booked this for husband and I as a birthday present as the reviews sounded good. However we found the whole day pretty disappointing. Basically you are paying to sit in a pub for 7 hours, while someone brews some beer a short distance away. Very limited opportunities to get involved. We were offered the chance to pour massive 25kg sacks of grain into the mash tun, but as a 5"4' woman I wasn't confident I could do that without dropping it or spilling it. I did go over to look in the tanks when offered, but despite me standing there he shut the tanks and walked off. We got 6 half pints to try throughout the day, a very dry bacon sandwich with no butter, and lunch. The brewer did pop over and tell us things occasionally but we just weren't involved enough to get any real enjoyment from it. The pub we visited had air con on so high that I popped out to a local shop to buy a cardigan at one point! At the end there was no choice of keg because they only had lager in stock, but they did give a voucher so we could order online. All in all we felt it was a very poor day, far too long with not much going on.

Joe the Brewer was fantastic - a brilliant day!!!

I booked this as a Father’s Day gift for my dad and I and what a great day it was when we visited on Saturday!! We spent the day being guided through the brewing process and helping Joe do a brew in the Chester Brewhouse. His knowledge and passion for what he does came through in everything he taught us during the day. I wield recommend this experience to anyone who loves beer and a good burger too!!! Fantastic.

Very happy husband and son
18 July 2022
My husband and son thoroughly enjoyed their Brewery Experience Day at the Milton Keynes Brewhouse and Kitchen. They were there for nearly 8 hours and took part in all the brewing processes and the tasting of ten different beers. With breakfast, lunch, drinks and a party bag - 5 litres of your favourite beer - it was excellent value for money.

Brilliant Brewing
31 May 2022
This was a birthday present for my brother and it turned out to be a brilliant day. We arrived at 10am and met Ian, our brewer for the day. After giving us the the days plans we got straight into the brewing process. Having started that we had a beer break and a bacon roll for breakfast. Lots more alcohol throughout the day that had all been brewed in house by Ian to his own special recipes. Lunch was excellent also. I had a double cheese burger my bro had beer battered fish and chips. The knowledge of the brewer is top draw, learnt so much on the day and it's amazing how much goes into a pint, drinking a beer should be appreciated more. More beer was served throughout the day and a 5ltr keg of your choice to take away at the end of the day was the icing on the cake. Overall a brilliant, knowledgeable day in a relaxed environment with plenty of laughs. Highly recommend this experience for any beer lover. Great day.

Great Day Out
01 May 2022
Really interesting day learning about, and engaging in, the brewing process. Sampling Brewhouse’s different beers added greatly to the occasion. The head brewer had a wealth of knowledge about beer and the brewing process and it all added up to a fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable day.

Our host and master brewer for the day was a young lad named Alex Jordan who really went out of his way to keep us all actively involved and well informed regarding the intricacies of brewing.

Brewery experience day
22 February 2022
We had a wonderful day at Brewhouse and Kitchen in Nottingham. Chris, the head brewer was a great host and very knowledgeable answering all questions asked. He took us through the process of brewing and we were able to participate too. The day went very quickly bacon sandwiches, or vegetarian alternative, were brought out mid morning with tea or coffee. For lunch we could choose from the menu and we got to taste 6 beers throughout the day. Before we went home we could pick which keg we wanted, it was a hard choice as I'd enjoyed all the beers I had tasted. I would definitely recommend this gift experience.
