Knockhill Racing Circuit Driving Experiences
The premier racing track in Scotland, Knockhill hosts a number of motor sport racing events throughout the year. The track is north of Dunfermline. Although known for its main circuit track there are a number of other road circuits on the Knockhill site, including an off-road track, rally course and a go-karting circuit.
Since its creation in the 1970s the aim of many of Knockhill's developers has been to be able to stage a Scottish version of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. This goal has not been achieved to date but the track regularly welcomes drivers from the British Touring Car and Superbike Championships.
Knockhill also has a good reputation with young people and has won an award from the Scottish Trade Motor Association for its work encouraging young people to get interested in the motor industry and engineering. The track provides a number of driving experiences for which no licence is required.
If you have a full licence and just want to get in the quickest car possible then jump into one of the single seater cars Knockhill offers. At Knockhill you also get a 'warm up' lap in a Seat car before you get into the single seater vehicle on your own. You'll certainly be cooler in the single seater, but that will be mainly the weather!
