Better than the Estrella tour

Just finished a tour of Hawkstone Brewery at Bourton on the water. We have tried so many samples it’s a good job we left the car at the hotel and walked here. We loved all of them including the vodka. Our guide Sion was very friendly and informative, and very generous with the samples. We did a tour of the Estrella factory in Spain last year and, although it was very slick, the Hawkstone version was really authentic and very positively angled to support British farming.

Wine and beer tasting

We were very impressed. Our tour guide was amazing he gave us complete insight to how wine and beer are manufactured. Highly recommend this tour. The people we met were very friendly. You tour again also stay on site overnight if we did this tour again we probably would. Sorry no photos.

Great way to try the beers

Decent serving of 6 beers to try, nice food and staff were excellent and very friendly. Would recommend this if your just having a catch-up with a friend something a little bit different to just going for a burger and a pint (and it's actually 2 pints so don't drive and enjoy)

Lovely gift of afternoon tea

The hotel is lovely, clean bright and welcoming. The staff were cheerful and polite and immediately mentioned that they were aware of the emails that I had earlier sent to them, telling them about my allergies. I gave them a paper, taken from Allergy UK, explaining everything about my BOP allergy, and they were not only interested, because no one had heard of it, but asked if they could print a copy off. They said that they would show it to the chef, but also keep it as future reference for any other sufferers. We were then shown to our table, and the chef, and serving staff had gone the extra mile to make sure everything was correct, even placing different items on my server that they knew I was safe to eat. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon tea. It felt so special and the staff were so friendly and welcoming, that we felt like regulars. We will certainly be going back again.

Drink London Walking Tour

A really interesting visit to four historic pubs. Our guide was informative and humorous. Time to sit, and enjoy a drink gave us time to get to know our group and they were a lovely mix of people. Would recommend this tour.

The young lady taking us through the course was friendly and informative., leaving enough time during the tasting session, for the participants to talk amongst ourselves, but giving information about the drinks each time a new round was produced.All questions were reasonably well answered & all told it was an enjoyable experience!

Excellent Brewing Day

My 18 year old son and I had a great brewing experience day at Southsea Brewhouse & Kitchen with Martin. Very informative and we had lots of time to discuss the processes and history of beer making. Lots of hands on time as well. Beer flowed as the day progressed and the food was great as well. Definitely value for money and my son thoroughly enjoyed it too.
