Excellent and different
The Palmyra restaurant is about 5 minutes walk from Kew Gardens tube station. On arrival, the staff were friendly and accommodating. When our drinks were brought out they came with a bowl of pickled peppers and pickled turnip. Interesting flavour but not unpleasant. Just different.
The menu was mainly made up of lamb, chicken or vegetarian dishes. As this was the first time eating Lebanese food I had a bean starter (hot) which was both tasty and filling. My main course was lamb and crushed wheat made into a burger shape served with cucumber salad. Absolutely delicious. My wife enjoyed her meal too.
We were too full for dessert. The staff were always on hand to top up your drinks and ask answer any questions about the menu.
Summary: if you want burger and chips - forget it. If you are prepared to try Lebanese cuisine then you should have an enjoyable experience at Palmyra.

Lovely meal
The food was good, I was not happy when I returned from the loo to find my husband had been charged and paid an £8 service charge.

Food very basic
The experience was bought for me by a friend. One of the hottest days of the year and the air conditioning wasn't turned on. Main meal was a plate of a small bit of salad and chicken kebab (not on skewer) and bread . Presentation was poor.

A mediocre experience
Staff were lovely and very friendly. Service was good . The Palmyra is essentially a take away with a few tables. I had the chicken Palmyra that was very bland and would not recommend. My husband had the mixed grill that was better. The starters were ok but nothing special. We were disappointed overall.
