About the experience
Relive incredible aviation history with this fascinating Dambusters helicopter experience for two. Board the chopper for a 20-minute flight and soar over the same route used to train pilots for the famous Dambusters raid. This vital operation in the Second World War required 19 Lancaster Bombers to pull off a daring raid deep into Nazi Germany, keeping a precise height of 60 feet throughout the bombing run. You’ll take in spectacular aerial views over the Peak District and marvel the wonderful sights of Chatsworth House, the Mam Tor rock formations and Derwent Valley. Feet firmly back on the ground, enjoy a tasty cream tea whilst talking about your unforgettable experience.
What do I need to know?

- Pre-booking is essential
- Maximum total weight: 30 stone/190kg
- Minimum age: 6 years
- Under 12s must be accompanied by a paying adult
- Flights are weather dependant, if your flight is cancelled due to extreme weather, your experience will be rebooked
- There will be up to 3 others on the flight and your voucher is valid for a rear seat
- You may upgrade to the co-pilot seat for a supplementary fee (to be booked in advance and subject to availability)
- The supplier reserves the right to refuse or remove any passenger from the flight if their behaviour is deemed unsafe or inappropriate

Our flight was cancelled on the morning of the flight, we have been put on a priority waiting list, but as it says there is no availability for this year when I tried to re-book I am wondering when this is going to happen !

Helicopter trip
Not happy 4 days before our flight it was cancelled, this ment we had to try to cancel our hotel stay but they said it was to short notice so we wasted our money.

Special birthday present
This was given as a gift to my daughter as a 40th birthday present. Everything to do with the flight was brilliant. The only disappointment was the cream tea. ( If you can call it that.) This was a shop bought cheap scone with a shared pot of jam and clotted cream, served on a paper plate and a coffee/tea served in a paper cup. Very very disappointing. I would recommend the flight but don't waste your money on booking this package.
