About the experience
Grip the wheel for an off-road driving experience and take on ruts, extreme hills and harsh side slopes in a powerful 4x4, with a full safety briefing, protective kit and roughly 1.5 hours of driving alongside your instructor. The Wright Event, a BORDA-accredited operator, runs this taster session on its rugged course in West Malling, Kent, where complete beginners are genuinely welcome. You'll get around 20 minutes behind the wheel, long enough to be stunned by what these vehicles can tackle. Expect plenty of mud and a satisfying sense of adventure.
What do I need to know?

- Minimum age: 18 years
- Minimum height: 1.4 metres
- Up to three other participants can ride along in the vehicle

- Please wear comfortable clothing and trainers you don't mind getting dirty, and bring a change of clothes in wet weather
- Itineraries and vehicle models may vary; images are provided as a guide
- Some driving experience providers may ask participants to sign an indemnity or damage waiver form on the day of the experience. This means they may be asked to contribute towards the cost of any damage caused to the vehicle during their experience. Full details of the indemnity or damage waiver will be provided by the experience provider. We're unable to advise or comment on the content or suitability of the waiver. Optional cover/insurance deposit: Some providers also offer optional collision damage cover for an additional fee or may require payment of an insurance deposit. This is separate from the public liability insurance held by all venues

Fun and educational
First time off-road so a new and enlightening experience. Our staff member, Royston, was very patient and was a great host. The car used was an automatic so a manual next time would be great. Nevertheless, for a first time it was perfect. The time always seems to fly by so a sign of enjoyment and definitely worth the effort.

Very Good (again)
Went on this experience in the Summer and really enjoyed it - when the ground was pretty dry ........but booked it again to do in wetter conditions ............which is what is what this time. Really enjoyable - both the practical driving and the 4x4 techinal info
