Beginner Horizontal Caving Day for One

Get ready for a thrilling underground adventure with this introduction to caving in the Peak District. Visit up to two cave or mine systems and discover magnificent formations and fossils. Once you've been fully kitted out with equipment, you'll have the opportunity to take your first steps underground. Discover evidence of a history of mining and learn about how the cave was created over 300 million years ago. Navigate through wide open chambers and intricate passages, admiring beautiful waterfalls and crystal formations. This activity is ideal for everyone, no matter your skill level. What do I need to know?

• All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences
• Your voucher is valid for one person
• Available on selected dates, year round
• Enjoy this experience as part of a larger group
• The instructor to participant ratio is 1:8
• All technical equipment is provided, including a helmet, head torch and over suit
• Please bring spare change as some caves require a trespass fee of approximately £3pp
• Make sure you wear a warm top or fleece, synthetic tracksuit bottoms or thermals, a warm base layer, thick socks and a warm hat, plus bring a change of clothes and a towel
• Minimum age: 13 years
