very disappointed
purchased as a birthday gift for friends to enjoy on a london visit.
the afternoon tea was served in the bar with the arsenal game playing on the TV which really wasn’t the 4* hotel setting that’s advertised
the vegetarian selection was quite poor, everything had tomato on it. the regular fillings weren’t to their taste but that’s personal preference.
The scones came out a packet and 1 of the cakes had a hair on it.
it was overall a let down

Lovely afternoon tea
The afternoon tea was really nice, they set up a nice table, although it was near the bar.
The staff were very accommodating and helpful, gave us as much hot drinks as we needed.
On the whole, a lovely afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea
The service was very good. But unfortunately where we had our afternoon tea was in the bar area, which was a bit on the dark side.
The food we were served was not of the standard we had expected from a 4 star hotel. Perhaps it might have been better if we had it in the restaurant.

Not what I was expecting as normally it's a hotel where everyone else has afternoon tea but this was a restaurant in the hotel where everyone else was just wondering in for a drink or fish and chips lunch/dinner staff friendly and attentive and welcoming
