Minimum age: 18 years
Please bring gym clothes, trainers and swimwear. Spa bag hire charges vary by location, starting from £10 per person. This fee includes a robe, towel, flip-flops, and bag. The flip-flops and bag are yours to keep at the end of your spa day. This fee is non-refundable. Additionally, a refundable deposit is required for any spa bag provided, starting from £10 per person. This deposit will be refunded upon the return of the robe and towel at the end of your spa day. Alternatively, guests may bring their own robe, towel, and footwear
You must present your voucher on the day of attending your booking
Treatment time includes collection from and to the waiting area, a consultation, undress/redress and 35 minutes of 'hands-on' treatment time
Bannatyne operates a cashless payment system, so please bring a debit/credit card or contactless payment device to make any purchases on the day

Best gift ever.

Really easy to book, my friend had a voucher bought for her and thought that she would have to go on her own so I booked on to join her, we will have a great day to remember ??

Not wowed

I'm a lover of a good spa day. So my colleagues gave me a gift voucher for a spa day at Bannatynes, for a special birthday gift I love the Bannatynes spa in Colchester but this voucher was limited and did not include the Colchester location. I had to select my next closest which is in Grays. Its not a spa, its a gym/leisure centre and the atmosphere reflects this. The lunch was fine. I selected smashed avocado on toast, with poached eggs This is literally what you get; plain toast, plain avocado. No sauce or additional seasoning at all. Unfortunately the poached eggs were overcooked. I had a massage which was performed by a lovely young woman, she made it the best experience possible. However the peace was repeatedly disturbed by the sound of hissing pipes every time some fushed the toilet nearby. The pool, sauna and hot tub were nice enough. But it had the busy atmosphere you would expect from a gym, including children running about and jumping in the pool. And despite the signs saying no phones, a young woman entered the sauna with a phone. There were no staff monitoring the pool area and no one to be found close by. This isn't the kind of indulgent experience youd expect for a spa day. Nice for everyday R&R as a gym member, but definitely not a gift experience in my opinion.
