Canal trip with afternoon tea

The trip was a birthday gift, which we used on our return journey home after a holiday in the lakes. The weather was great luckily which made for a pleasant one and a half journey on the canal. Our skipper Marc was a wealth of knowledge about the canal . He asked each couple (4) where they were from and had great knowledge of his own work experiences in our different areas- very interesting man. The afternoon tea was really lovely served in a sealed tray- sandwiches were very fresh, sausage rolls, scotch eggs, salad, cakes and the most delicious scones.Just a few comments for larger people, the seats at the tables were quite ‘snug’ and the steps down into the cabin quite steep. All in all a really nice afternoon out, one we’d happily do again.
