Spa day with afternoon tea at Mercure
Gym facilities are brilliant, pool and jacuzzi very relaxing, especially between 11.30-3.30pm when it’s child free area. The day I went the sauna and steam room were closed for refit. However there is plenty to keep you relaxed on the day. I picked the afternoon tea experience, which looked amazing and tasted delicious, the venue staff were all friendly and polite. Great day out wether going on own or in a small group

Spa day with afternoon tea
Second time coming here, disappointed that the jacuzzi was not working, this not being a fault of their own. The afternoon was good especially the scones, did have to ask and pay for more sandwhiches as they were quite small. The first time I visited I had lunch in a small restaurant part of the hotel however this time it was in the reception/lobby which didn’t feel very spa/relaxation like and the bar lady was trying to run the bar and serve all of the afternoon tea needs which she done a great job at but was overworked. Not enough loungers for everyone booked into the spa day for that day which is unfortunate.
Had a difficulty with booking the vouchers etc but when I called the spa they added more availability which was very good of them.
