About the experience
You’ll be the next sushi master chef after this 60-minute sushi masterclass at Inamo! Learn all the top-secret sushi making skills from an expert sushi chef and then roll your sleeves up and try your hand at making your very own Maki rolls! You won’t just walk away with new found skills, you’ll be awarded with a Nigiri Ninja certificate which you can show off to all your friends! What do I need to know?

Sushi (not master class)
This session would have been good if some people hadn’t turned up 20 minutes late!
The class had started so the chef had to stop and bring the very young new children up to speed.
Although two sushi were eventually made the class itself was not well organised for the age group.
There was a lot of waiting around whilst the chef individually gave out content.
Would not recommend this course for any child over 8 years old.

Poorly executed
The class started late, so didn’t last an hour. The person showing how to make the sushi didn’t engage with the kids at all. There was no certificate given at the end, no tea offered to the parents. The whole experience took place in a small, dingy room in the basement of the restaurant (nothing like the photos on the buy a gift website!). Completely underwhelming experience. I have only given it 3 stars as the kids made a lot of sushi which they got to take home.

Multiple failures, ended in literal tears.
Booking made months in advance for a 11am-12 experience. Upon arrival at 10.50 we were told the chef wasn't ready and would only be at 11.45. We had lunch booked elsewhere for mothers day and couldn't rearrange this for later as was full. Arrived back in the delayed start time and commenced the session. The sushi making itself was ok and the people attending it seemed happy enough during it. It then continued to go wrong.
When time to present the certificates at the end, they had the wrong list of names and ended up asking "who are you?" and "whoops, we have the wrong days list I think. Oh well."
When we asked to take the sushi they had just made, there were no containers to take them away. Offered for us to take them upstairs to eat but there was no space in the restaurant to do so, so we had to leave them there.
All in all, it has ruined what could have been a great day out on multiple failings. I have an upset wife as we had to cancel her mothers day lunch, an upset child who couldn't eat the sushi they had just made and been looking forward to for ages.
The bookings were not a surprise and we even got another confirmation of the timing the day before.

Terrible Gift
A supposed 1 hour long 'masterclass' (it started 20 mins late and did not make up for this time afterwards.) It was nothing more than a 30min, roll/assemble two pieces of Maki using pre prepped ingredients. Followed by 10 mins of certificate writing/waiting for others to finish. Everything was done in advance - so didn't learn to cook/prep anything. Dreadful presenting/engagement skills with kids. Certificate at end said 'Nigiri Ninja', no Nigiri in sight which is a shame as that might actually have been an interesting lesson.
