About the experience
Looking to level up your skills in the kitchen? Head to Sauce, the cookery school based at The Langham in London, for a half-day Building Block class of your choice. With the Kitchen Confidence class, you’ll master the principles of good cooking, including knife skills, sauces, butchery or filleting, and desserts, to cook up a main course to enjoy together. In the Proper Puddings class, you’ll learn how to make four classic puddings to take home and in the Bread Making class, master the four pillars of baking, savouring your creations with a group lunch. Discover the secrets of an Italian staple with a Master the Pasta class, or create flavourful Indian dishes with the Spice Masterclass. With a relaxed and creative atmosphere and led by expert professional chefs, this is a wonderful way to learn new skills or build on existing ones. You’ll also get to take home a recipe pack from the day, plus a Sauce apron, cloth and tote bag.
What do I need to know?

Afternoon Tea was served to us by Nicolette. She was very Professional, attentive to our Special dietary requirements. Tasty sandwhiches and Scones. Cakes were light and delicious. Loved the ice cream tiny cones at the end.

Tea at The Langham
The staff were very hospitable and throughout our time there they ensured we were topped up with tea and had everything we needed. There was a really nice range of sandwiches, cheese scones, delicate little cakes and then scones with jam and cream. It was impossible to eat it all, so we came away with a beautiful box containing the cakes we couldn’t manage, and had some on the two following afternoons at home.

A lovely treat!
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and special. The menu was explained and we were presented with a glass of Prosecco each. The food was lovely and we had a great choice of teas. The atmosphere was relaxing with a pianist playing in the background, and we took our time, savouring the delights brought to our table. An excellent experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.
