About the experience

Lancashire - Mighty Sights from a Microlite
I've always fancied a trip on a microlight so it was great when I was given this as a 60th birthday gift. Barry was very helpful from the get-go in advising about how to arrange this booking which is obviously weather-dependent. Travelled down from Glasgow and via Google maps found the "airfield" easily. Barry knows his stuff so you can feel absolutely secure in the knowledge you're in safe hands. The experience was easy and not at all off-putting. It was gentle and the scenery was grand. Your voucher is for 25 mins but you can, for £25, have another half hour. I opted for this but I don't think I got as much as half an hour more, but on the whole, I was OK about this. I wasn't interested in learning how to fly the microlight myself - I just concentrated on enjoying the scenery, taking photographs and listening to Barry's commentary.

Just do it. Still buzzing from flying such an experience.
Such a great buzz, I took the controls myself for part of the flight and flew for over 15 minutes, such an experience to be up in the sky and see the beautiful countryside in this way, it will stay with me for a long while. Such a good location for me too being 45 mins from London, the guys at the Sandy venue were so helpful, I travelled by train and they picked me up from nearby station. Couldn’t help looking up at the sky on the way home, hard to believe I was up there....

Amazing!!
Myself and my daughters had a flight, we all had a great time and the instructor was very friendly even gave me a free flight so I could take photos of my daughters flight!!
