An unforgettable day for birds of prey enthusiasts and nature lovers! You and your companion will get to spend the day with some of the most fearsome hunting birds in the UK and the people who look after them, learning about the history of falconry as well as the practice of this ancient royal sport. You'll start the day by getting to know the keepers at Willows Birds of Prey Centre. Then you’ll hear a fascinating talk from an experienced falconer about falconry and the birds that you’ll be flying during the day – gaining an understanding of how to look after, manage and fly these magnificent birds. After lunch, you’ll head out onto the six-acre wildlife trail and watch a falconer swing the lure to simulate the aerial battle between a hawk and its prey, before heading into the woods with a Harris Hawk.
