About the experience

Feel like a whisky connoisseur after a whisky tasting and masterclass for two at Map Maison. Situated in fashionable East London, you will be greeted with a refreshing signature cocktail each on arrival at this trendy bar, which holds one of the largest collections of Japanese whisky. Share a tasty small tapas plate between you. The head mixologist will begin by sharing their extensive knowledge of Japanese whisky, including its history and information about distilleries and how they are made and drunk. You will taste three whiskies and can ask any questions you may have during the class. Finish the session with cocktail making where you get to shake up your own delicious cocktail!

Absolutely fantastic experience

The Japanese Whiskey Tasting masterclass was even better than expected. The staff were extremely welcoming and the host was so knowledgeable about the history of the whiskeys, really engaging experience. Took place at the bar so a nice intimate masterclass. Definitely would recommend this experience.

An enjoyable and informative experience

I went along with no real expectation of what to expect, but had such a good time. The team there were fun and obviously knew their stuff. This was a first for me for Japanese whisky and was not disappointed. I'm not going to say its better than my Single Malt Scottish favourites, but they were all very nice. The cocktails were rather good too!

Whisky tasting

I bought this for my boyfriend who is a big fan of japanese whisky. We really loved the history of Japanese whisky which was given alongside the actual tasting, with the opportunity to make our own cocktails at the end. It was a lovely, personal session and the staff were really welcoming. We would have loved to stay longer but they only had Sunday availability and we had work the next day!
