Lakeside Bazaar 50 Minute Treatment with Lunch and Fizz at Chevin Country Park Hotel and Spa for Two

The 50 minute treatment was amazing, the therapist was lovely and she obviously knew what she was doing. It is a shame the rest of the package was so poor. The "Lunch" consisted of a sandwich, cheese and chutney, curried egg or steak and chutney. You could pay £3 each if you wanted to add fries or soup. My husband chose the steak and chutney, and added fries. I had cheese and chutney with a soup. The cheese was cut so thin that you could see through it and it had no taste. The soup was supposed to be vegetable, but the waiter came out and said it was pea, was that ok? I said yes. The soup was basically a tin of processed peas that had been blended until smooth. I like peas but not that much! We then went to the spa, the pool was freezing cold. People were getting in and then getting straight out. One of the hot tubs wasn't working and the steam room was also out of action. This left a small sauna and a very grubby looking hot tub. The whole place feels very tired, with the roof leaking where the sun beds are looking out onto the pond and everything looking like it needed some TLC. It has great potential if someone put the time and effort into it.
