About the experience
Visit Northumberland College Zoo for a fun-packed day for a family of four. This experience is ideal for a bunch of animal enthusiasts who want to get up close and personal to some of the zoo’s cute animals. Kick this insightful day off with two 30-minute encounters: meet the meerkats and meet the lemurs. Discover these highly sociable and inquisitive little creatures and watch on as they interact with the rest of their family. Receive a short introduction before getting into the enclosures and helping to feed the animals. A knowledgeable keeper will be on hand through the experience to answer any questions you may have. Afterwards, you can enjoy entry to the rest of the park and see all the other animals.
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- This voucher is valid for two adults and two children
- Available on Saturdays and Sundays, excluding 18th December-6th January
- Entry to the zoo is available from February half term to October half term
- The experience runs at 10am or 3pm and last around one hour
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your start time
- Minimum age: 5 years
- Children aged 5–15 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- Your experience should be booked in advance
- Please note, you will not be able to handle the animals. This experiences includes entry to the enclosure to assist the keeper with feeding the animals
- All dates are subject to availability

Brilliant experience at Northumberland Zoo
Had a fab time at Northumberland Zoo. The meerkat and lemur experience was fab with really friendly knowledgeable staff! Was just a shame the animals were so full they weren't really bothered about our treats, still had a fab experience though!
