About the experience
Manor of Groves is set in 150 acres of idyllic countryside bordering the counties of Hertfordshire and Essex, and effortlessly blends Georgian elegance with contemporary design. During your stay you’ll be treated to a three course dinner in the hotel’s La Brasserie restaurant, which uses good, honest, fresh ingredients to produce appetising dishes of the highest standard. Xmas gift
Food very good room lovely.
However the bar area was very boring.
Yoy had to wait to l9ng to be served even though we were the only two people there.
There was 3 staff member in suits that jyst ignored us.
All beer barrells were empty.
Which let our over night stay very dissappinting. Ended up going to bed at 8.00pm

Great stay
A great stay - both dinner and breakfast were excellent during our stay. Spa area was clean and not too busy even on Saturday morning. Reception staff helpful and friendly - room was clean and tidy!

Sadly dissatisfied
Am generally easy going and accept minor faults but this stay sadly disappointed.
Room above must have had a water leak as numerous holes drilled in water stained ceiling and plaster missing from wall.
Empty beer& water bottles left in cupboard from previous guests.
Not able to shower/bath or flush the toilet as run out of water due to large volume of guests.
Pool busy as children's time but no attendant so parents ignoring all signs and encouraging their children to dive and jump in the pool
Unable to use the jacuzzi as full of toddlers and even a small baby. Despite signs saying strictly no under 12s.
All a shame as ALL STAFF WERE GREAT.
FOOD REALLY GOOD.
To be fair we were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco and offered a room change and the receptionist seemed genuinely apologetic but as already dressed ready for dinner (unwashed!) did not see the point of changing rooms, my error for not complaining earlier.

Lovely setting. Comfortable room. Good amenities. Food was exceptional. Previous reviews has stated rude staff but did not experience this at all.

Great hotel
A great hotel, just let down by the breakfast staff of only one young lad!
