Fabulous stay at moorland hotel

Very Poor Value
Grosvenor Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon. Centrally located and close to the town centre.
The room had a private bathroom with a bath and shower, but it was not clean. The shower produced only a trickle of water, the toilet seat was broken, and the hand-basin plug was damaged and unusable.
Interior fire doors were propped open, and an external fire door was faulty and did not close properly.
Private parking cost £12 per day, which felt expensive.
Breakfast was adequate.
The room overlooked the Garden Room, which contained broken furniture.
This should be rated as a one-star hotel, not three stars.
Not recommended. Avoid this hotel; it was a major disappointment.
The air conditioning consisted of a single standalone unit placed beside the bed, which would have been noisy if used.
There was no lift, so luggage had to be carried up and down three flights of stairs to reach the room.
The photos on the website are highly misleading.
Having paid for an upgrade, I expected a better-quality room.
There were no wardrobes and no hangers for clothes.
The bedside cabinets were simply tables.
There was no place to store suitcases except on top of the chest of drawers.
The hotel is best described as basic and very tired. Its inferior quality means I would not stay there again.

Poor hotel
Relatively clean- but the room was incredibly basic and we certainly would not book it again. It was a gift to us so hard to see what they paid but it really was not a space you would want to spend any time in. There was a very bad smell on the room and the area was less than desirable. Staff nice. Breakfast was again incredibly basic.

I had a couple if days at a Travelodge with a friend it did not offer the same as the holiday break I had recently but the room was clean and we enjoyed our stay
