Unimaginative vegan afternoon tea
The setting is lovely and the service was good. Sadly, the food was not very exciting. The sandwiches were bland. One plain vegan cheese with no chutney, one cucumber, one houmous and grilled courgette and one avocado and lettuce. The vegan scones were heavy and dry and were served with jam and a massive bowl of 'vegan cream' which was actually just margarine. The cakes were a big slice of brownie and a flapjack. There was also a strawberry each and 2 blackberries. When I looked at the regular afternoon tea on the table next to us I could see 4 different delicate desserts. Vegan afternoon tea can be amazing, but this felt like a bit of an after thought.

Lovely afternoon tea
Lovely venue and very polite staff, peaceful and upmarket setting with delicious cakes and scones. One waiter didn’t understand the request for a plant based milk and bought over normal cows milk but overall a good experience!
