About the experience
Get your helmet on and saddle up for an exciting cycling experience for two people at Lee Valley VeloPark, the home of cycling at the London 2012 Olympics. Experience the atmosphere of this incredible venue whilst following in the footsteps of your cycling heroes. For people who are cycling newbies or who want to build on their skills, a 1:1 Adult Tuition or Junior 1:2 Learn to Ride Session is the perfect way to improve your techniques with an experienced coach. If you have a need for speed, try the Velodrome Flying Lap, where you’ll learn to ride a fixed wheel bike on the banked track, followed by a speed lap to see if you can beat the pros. Want to test your fitness and performance and build a plan to reach your goals? The 1:1 VeloStudio Fitness Session is for you. For more adventurous types, why not try the Velodrome and BMX Taster for an introduction to the sports on two Olympic tracks? Incredible!
What's included?
- A cycling experience for two at Lee Valley VeloPark, choosing from:
- Velodrome and BMX Taster (150 mins)
- Velodrome Flying Lap (80 mins)
- 1:1 VeloStudio Fitness Session (60 mins)
- 1:1 Adult Tuition (60 mins)
- Junior 1:2 Learn to Ride Session (60 mins)
What do I need to know?
- All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences
- Available week round, year round
- Please arrive at the VeloPark reception at least 30 minutes before your start time
- Bike and helmet hire is included
- For the Velodrome and BMX Taster:
- Minimum age: 12 years
- Minimum height: 4’9”
- The total length of this experience is 150 minutes, with a 30minute break in between sessions
- Cycling gloves must be worn. You can hire them on the day for an additional charge
- It is recommended that you wear cycling shoes. You can hire Look Keo cleats on the day for an additional charge. Normal trainers can be worn if preferred
- Shoulders must be covered for the track session. For the BMX session, arms and legs must be covered
- Riders over 17st2lb are unable to hire bikes and must bring their own trackspecific bike
- During winter months, BMX sessions may be delayed or cancelled in the case of poor weather or track conditions
- For the Velodrome Flying Lap:
- Minimum age: 12 years
- Minimum height: 4’9”
- Cycling gloves must be worn. You can hire them on the day for an additional charge
- It is recommended that you wear cycling shoes. You can hire Look Keo cleats on the day for an additional charge. Normal trainers can be worn if preferred
- Shoulders must be covered
- Riders over 17st2lb are unable to hire bikes and must bring their own trackspecific bike
- For the 1:1 VeloStudio Fitness Session:
- Minimum age: 16 years
- Minimum height 5’1”
- Maximum height: 7’1”
- Maximum weight: 23st8lb
- Trainers or cycling shoes can be worn
- Please wear lightweight technical gym wear or cyclingspecific clothing
- For the 1:1 Adult Tuition:
- Minimum age: 16 years
- Minimum height: 4’9”
- Cycling gloves must be worn. You can hire them on the day for an additional charge
- It is recommended that you wear cycling shoes. You can hire Look Keo cleats on the day for an additional charge. Normal trainers can be worn if preferred
- Shoulders must be covered
- Riders over 17st2lb are unable to hire bikes and must bring their own trackspecific bike
- For the Junior 1:2 Learn to Ride Session:
- Minimum age: 5 years
- Maximum age: 16 years
- A parent or guardian must accompany the child during the session
- This session is designed for beginner riders
