All the excitement of camping with none of the hassle! Equipped with roller blinds, carpet and a heater, these comfortable wooden pods even have a deck for sunbathing! The campsite overlooks peaceful Lake Dacre and has a clubhouse with a bar, pool table and table tennis. The Lake itself offers a wealth of activities, from fishing, windsurfing, sailing and kayaking to the zany ‘WaterWalkerz’. Just a five-minute walk away is Brandesburton, a charming village with fantastic fish 'n' chips, great pubs and shops where you can pick up the essentials. Heavenly!

First time glamping

Never done camping or glamping before but got a gift voucher so my wife and I went for 1 night with our dog.
Absolutely loved it! Lovely pods nicely situated on the lake. On site bar (does close a little early which didn’t bother us as the dog would get bored but when we go back on our own it would be nice if it opened longer)
Nice on site restaurant (doesn’t allow dogs) but all in all we loved it very nice staff as well. Looking to go back without the dog in august.

The voucher was a mothers day gift for 1 night Glamping. I chose the area as not too far to travel for 1 night and love being close to water so a lakeside position was great. The location couldn't offer 1 night at the weekend so spent £55 for an extra night, was told the pod was for a family but doubt you'd get more than 3 people in. Outside of the pods needed cobwebs sweeping off and the decking too. Patio heaters would be a great addition for colder evenings.

The place itself was nice but the staff have absolutely no customer service skills. We’d never been here before so didn’t know what was there and the strand treat us like we was stupid when we asked them things, if it wasn’t for the staff then this place would of been much better

The lake was straight ahead, the restaurant and shower block was a 1 minute walk across a small car park. The restaurant (Bert’s) has a lovely atmosphere for evening and breakfast.
We loved having the doors open in the morning to watch the ducks swim by!
We took our own heater (luckily) the one provided didn’t work - the only issue we had.
