Cocktail Cinema Evening for Two at The Courthouse Hotel Shoreditch 10781504

Good venue. Lovely cinema. Great audience. Short staffed. Cocktail Bar was cold (temperature).

Whole experience was great. Booked online and got a reply very quickly. Arrived with only minutes to spare but we were shown straight in and given popcorn and water. Cocktail afterwards was great and the bar is a fantastic setting. Very enjoyable.

Booking - I emailed and filled out the online booking form but didn’t hear back from anyone. I ended up calling a few days before to book. The person I spoke to was very nice, however not very professional. On arrival the hotel receptionist didn’t say hello. When we asked where the cinema was they grunted and pointed towards the bar. Cocktail - was ok. There was a choice of around 10 I think. The bar was quite busy with a large party and there was only one member of staff. Cinema - was freezing cold. The lights weren’t turned off for 30 minutes. The seats were comfy and we enjoyed the small bag of popcorn. All of the toilets didn’t flush which was a bit grim. Overall this is a lovely venue however it’s staff and service could do with refining. Would we go again, very unlikely.

We arrived at the hotel to be escorted to the cinema, and we got free water and popcorn. The cinema was literally empty apart from us, so we had the whole thing to ourselves. The film was advertised as St Trinian's on the website (https://shoreditch.courthouse-hotel.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/New-Cinema-Club-2019-Film-list.pdf), and that's what I booked however when we got there it was St Trinian's 2 (the sequel, which is not as good and not what we wanted to see). This was really unfortunate because we were excited for the first movie, which my girlfriend hadn't seen so she watched them in the wrong order now. Would have been nice if this was advertised correctly. The rooftop bar is nice, especially the free drink.

The service at the hotel was really good. You are shown to the cinema when you arrive where you are given free popcorn and a bottle of water. The cinema is comfortable and you don't have to sit through any adverts. After the film you receive a complimentary cocktail.

The overall experience was great. The booking of the experience was very easy, which was very useful around valentines day. The film was good and it was a lovely hotel to hold the cinema. It was also nice to be given free popcorn and a water bottle each to have throughout the film. The bar in which we enjoyed the complimentary cocktails was also nice and the cocktail menu was fairly extensive for a free cocktail. The only issue that presented itself on the day was that the film blacked out a few times but for nothing more than a few seconds each time. Would definitely recommend to a friend!
