We were bought a family entry ticket as a gift for birthdays. I have two children but have only ever visited once before because entry is quite expensive. The zoo is also vast. I would recommend children take scooters. We found we got around the zoo much quicker with scooters and no complaints of tired legs.
Whipsnade has all the big animals you expect in a zoo. When we got there my 3 yr old saw the small steam train and asked to go on it which we agreed to not knowing that it was an additional cost. Think it cost us around an extra £11 for 2 adults and 2 children. The entry fee is quite high and i think this should be included
Luckily due to the gift we didn't have to pay for entry.

I bought this gift for myself and 3 children. We all had the best day. Easy entry, they just scan your voucher. If you plan your day right you can fit so much in. There is so much to do and see for all ages. The butterfly house and sea lion show was our favourite.
I'll definitely be buying this again. I can't wait to go back.

There was no need to book just turned up with printed voucher. Been to zoo several times and love the space and walk, albeit kids can take scooters. Lovely hot day and beautiful views.

Wonderful day out for animal lovers. Really enables you to get up close to the animals. Lovely open spaces for all the animals. Beautiful views of surrounding area. We'll maintained and particularly loved the butterfly House and getting close to the giraffes. Lots of informative talks throughout the day with different animals. Thoroughly enjoyable day for all ages.

Lots to see so make sure you plan your day well and visit some if the shows. Sea lion and bird shows were our favourite
