Overview
If you have ever dreamed of being a helicopter pilot and flying with the rich and famous, then here is your chance to take that first step! With this amazing flying experience, you’ll get the chance to take the controls of a real helicopter under the watchful supervision of your experienced pilot. On arrival, your pilot will give you a brief introduction to the aircraft before you both plan your chosen flight path. Then it’s up and away as you are shown how to take off. Once in the air, your pilot will give you “on the job” tuition into how to control the helicopter, and then it’s your turn to take control. All the miles you accumulate during the flight can go towards you obtaining a full licence in the future. If however, you would prefer to simply sit back and relax and enjoy a fabulous helicopter ride, you are more than welcome to!

What do I need to know?

- Minimum age: 16 years
- Maximum weight: 15 stone
- Flights are dependent on weather conditions and visibility
- Heli Air will do all it can to help disabled customers, please contact the supplier prior to booking
- Optional upgrades are available for longer lessons or larger helicopters
- Time can be logged in your flying logbook as the first step towards your private helicopter pilot license
- One spectator per customer is welcome
- The captain reserves the right to refuse to fly anyone considered not to be in the appropriate condition to fly
- Your flight time can count towards a helicopter pilot licence and you will receive a signed certificate to this end
- To avoid disappointment, it is recommended that you book well in advance
- The whole experience lasts for over one hour including greeting, pre-flight instruction and briefing

I was expecting a helicopter flight lesson but when I arrived I was told they only provided a flight experience. Not the fault of the Company as that is the only option they provide. Mislead by Buyagift. Very disappointed

Really great experience so different got upgraded to a larger helicopter feee of charge and got to take my daughter as a passenger which was a bonus. Great instructor.

Loved my experience at Heliair. I flew in a R22, having my PPL for fixed wing this was a fabulous experience to add to my flying. I enjoyed every minute and my instructor Matthew was great.

This was an amazing present to receive. I got mine in October but as the expiry date is around 9 months there is plenty of time to wait to ensure you get a great day. I chose Heli Air in Gloucester. They were super. Based in a brand new hanger they are not only very professional but really laidback and makes you feel at ease. They do ask if you live nearby so they can fly over your house, so there is no set route they take. I also took my GoPro with me. They allowed me to either use a suction cup or chest harness. TBH flying the helicopter is relatively hard, 30 mins isn't quite long enough to really get the hang of it, but Heli Air get you on the controls ASAP to get you into it, you certainly don't just try for 10 mins.
If you are looking for a special present for someone then this will be ideal!

Learnt to fly two helicopters over Stratford Upon Avon on a beautifully sunny day. Staff were really helpful and handed over control for a couple of minutes! Loved it

A real thrilling experience

We arrived early but were made welcome. They informed us of cafe to use where we could sit and watch others on their flights. When it was my turn I was fully informed of what to expect. Chris the pilot I was with was brilliant. The whole ground crew were helpful. Safety was a priority. I would fully recommend Heli Air to anyone wanting a flight experience of any kind.
