Come hither and feel transported back in history with this unforgettable one night stay for two at Coombe Abbey. Nestled in 500 quaint acres of parkland on the outskirts of Coventry, it was a Cistercian abbey in the 12th Century. Originally founded in 1150 AD, it wonderfully combines its enchanting original features with modern conveniences. In the evening of your stay, head to the enchanting Abbeygate restaurant to tuck into a delicious medieval banquet. Set in 1539, you can feast on options that include ‘The Abbot’s Broth’ and ‘The Royal Rib’. A captivating evening filled with entertainment and scrumptious food, you won’t want it to end! After the meal dance the night away with a disco! Retire to your spacious Feature Room, that comes complete with a Victorian bathtub, fluffy bathrobes and complimentary toiletries. The following morning awake to a hearty full English breakfast before checking out.

Fabulous hotel, beautiful room. Excellent medieval show. Delicious food. Staff and entertainment team really were lovely, very friendly.

Everything were great. It really was a banquet, plenty of food, the rib was the best.
The entertainment was really good

What a night. Such talent and raucous fun. The food was perfect and drinks a plenty. Very well organised. The hotel room was enormous with everything you needed. Would definitely do this again and with the offer it was extreme affordable. This banquet gave us a good laugh and a good old sing song and no worry about driving or getting a taxi. It was especially nice as we sat out in the gardens till midnight as it was so warm. About a third of people dressed up which was lovely.

A wonderful treat at Coombe Abbey, such a magical venue set in beautifully kept gardens n scenic views.We stayed in a feature room which was lovely, all the furniture in keeping with period of the Abbey n the bed was the comfiest we have ever slept in. Everything was spotless. We enjoyed the Medieval Banquet evening, such fun, the actors were great,professional and lots of interaction with the guests.We didnt dress in period costume but lots of people had n it added to the entertainment, however you dont need to dress in costume to enjoy. The food was plentiful and enjoyed, n white/ red wine, jugs of ale n water also on the table.After the show there was also a disco .
The breakfast the following morning was delicious, a selection for all appetites, well presented and plentiful. Staff were polite and helpful at all times we found , clearing n cleaning tables quickly at a busy breakfast service.
Would definitely recommend a stay at this lovely venue, or even a visit for afternoon tea etc.

Good evening with lots of fun 'tongue in cheek' entertainment, we dressed for the part and had a great craic! food fitted the setting was filling and tasty.
