About the experience
Slide sideways through the corners behind the wheel of three purpose-built rally cars at Oakham or Elvington, with 12 laps per car, an expert instructor beside you and a commemorative certificate to take home. You'll feel how a Mitsubishi Evo, a Subaru Impreza and a Ford Fiesta each handle the course, which turns 36 laps into a properly satisfying comparison. Your instructor coaches you through brake control and oversteer as you go, so you'll be drifting with real technique rather than pure optimism.
What do I need to know?

- Minimum age: 17 years, under-18s must be accompanied by an adult

- Some driving experience providers may ask participants to sign an indemnity or damage waiver form on the day of the experience. This means they may be asked to contribute towards the cost of any damage caused to the vehicle during their experience. Full details of the indemnity or damage waiver will be provided by the experience provider. We're unable to advise or comment on the content or suitability of the waiver. Optional cover/insurance deposit: Some providers also offer optional collision damage cover for an additional fee or may require payment of an insurance deposit. This is separate from the public liability insurance held by all venues

not good value
sadly I would have to describe the event overall as disappointing.
Firstly there was great pressure to pay an extra £40 for insurance, a fact not mentioned when the gift was bought.
The cars were pretty old and not in great condition, this insurance payment seemed grossly unfair.
The laps were very short, basically just around a flat piece of tarmac, 12 took literally 10 minutes each meaning there was only 30 minutes at tops in the 3 cars.
There was no real instruction or tips given, indeed the 3rd car driver hardly said a word.
Overall I would give it a disappointing 5 out of 10, and sadly couldn’t recommend it as being value for money.
