Nice afternoon tea
Overall a good experience, the sandwiches were very dry with hardly any filling in though. Scones were lovely, cakes very nice.

The Priest House Afternoon Tea .
We have been twice before to the Priests zhouse over the years and it has lovely .
This time the service was great, the hotel is lovely and by the river .
The staff were lovely and attentive .
The Scone’swere tasty and fruity , we had enough cream and jam but the sandwiches were a let down this time .
They couldn’t have cut the Salmon any thinner or the ham and the Cream Cheese and cucumber one well, if there was Cream Cheese on it , I certainly couldn’t taste it , and there was the thinnest slice of cucumber I’ve ever seen ,. The total filling was no thicker than a line drawn by a leaf pencil! The white breaf tasted like it had been out of its wrapper for a little while too . Not stale but not really soft either .
The only one that was tasty was the Egg mayonnaise on Brown .

Pleasant break from normal routine
Gift (afternoon tea) was superb at the Priest House, Castle Donington in lovely countryside. Only issue we had was the coupon code not working when we tried to book online. So, had to go to the venue to book (and have a cheeky lemonade of course!). All in all a very welcome break from our normal day.
