About the experience

This is the ideal day out for gardening enthusiasts and those keen to admire the beauty of nature. After a meander around, take a seat in The Helenium Tea Rooms. You will be treated to a traditional afternoon tea for two. Enjoy a selection of dainty sandwiches, mini sweet treats and fluffy scones topped with clotted cream and jam, all served on beautiful bone china. Share a pot of tea or coffee as you catch up over this indulgent treat.
What do I need to know?

Lovely gift
Staff friendly and helpful, afternoon tea itself was gorgeous. Everything was lovely but I would maybe have a little less cake and a bit more sandwich

Wonderful day
The gardens were lovely and although there were plenty of visitors it felt like we were alone most of the time.
We started our day with a morning cuppa sat outside which was in itself a lovely setting amongst the gardens. The afternoon tea itself was also lovely with the catering staff extremely helpful. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was because upon arrival for our afternoon tea the young lady didn't seem sure about the availability of the cake choices... That said I think it was because she was new, but the rest of the staff were really helpful.

Gardens lovely, added bonus of being able to borrow a mobility scooter which meant mum could get round it all

Lovely Mother's day treat
Fantastic gardens, very peaceful and really beautiful. The afternoon tea was delicious with plenty of top ups of the tea pot!
