Situated in the heart of trendy Covent Garden, The Black Penny is a stylish, artisanal coffee house & kitchen that serves a delicious array of breakfast delights, brunch and all-day sandwiches. With intimate lighting, modern décor and a relaxed atmosphere, it will make you feel relaxed from the moment you arrive. With an interior décor inspired by traditional Penny Universities (English coffee houses in the mid-17th century), it is split across two floors, making it a quirky and characterful environment. Occasionally they also hold fascinating seminars and lectures in their subterranean Seminar Pit, from food photography masterclasses to poetry nights! Very pleasant brunch
We enjoyed a very pleasant brunch at the Black Penny. We created our own breakfast, food was good quality and the portions were huge- it kept us going for the rest of the day. Will return when in the area!

Celebration day brunch
Fantastic place for brunch. Food quality was amazing and the service was excellent and very friendly. Lovely cafe on edge of Covent Garden with seating outside.

Best ever eggs!
We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. We were amazed how orange the yolks in the eggs were and the quality of the products used was second to none. My ‘door step’ french toast was gorgeous. . Staff were excellent and attentive too.
