About the experience

You’ll begin with an introductory talk and full safety briefing, before getting kitted out with a butcher’s coat, and chain mail gloves for your protection. Sharpen your knives and get stuck in to bone, trim, roll tie and cut a half lamb saddle, prepare a whole chicken to sauté, bone, score, roll tie and cut for spareribs a kilo of pork belly and prepare an oxtail for braising. Best of all, you’ll take home every single piece of meat that you work on, to enjoy with your complimentary bottle of wine, as well as a great recipe booklet to inspire you and bring out the very best in your succulent cuts. What do I need to know?

Brilliant!
The session was very well run. Friendly and professional. The Hampstead w and Provender is a wonderful shop. Friendly welcome, great attention to safety and hygiene, and excellent demonstrations and tuition. Highly recommended for foodies, meat-lovers and budding domestic butchers. The produce was of excellent quality too.

Highly recommended!
I bought this for a friend and in two hours we had successfully butchered a mountain of meat - oxtail, chicken, pork and lamb. We were then given everything we had worked on to take home with recipes and a bottle of wine. There is now enough meat in my freezer for two month's worth of meals! Our butcher was extremely knowledgeable and made sure that everything was done safely and accurately and answered any questions we had. I couldn't recommend the course highly enough!

Incredibly fun and educational experience

Amazing experience
The experience was amazing. A lot of tips and advises how to work with four different types of meat (chicken, oxtail, pork's ribs and lamb).
