About the experience
Take off for an unforgettable aerial adventure with this incredible flying lesson for one. With an expert instructor to teach you all the skills you'll need, you'll learn to fly a real aircraft at your chosen airfield. Start off with a full briefing upon arrival before taking to the skies for the first of two 25–30 minute flights, where you'll observe as your instructor talks you through piloting the aircraft. As passenger, you'll get a front-row seat to the basic manoeuvres you'll need to learn before taking control of the plane yourself. Back on solid ground it’s time to swap places as you take control for the second flight. With the instructor by your side to guide you and offer support, you'll soar through the clouds at heights of up to 2000ft.
What do I need to know?

- This voucher is valid for one person. Please note, this experience is taken as part of a two-person group and can only go ahead if the second participant slot is filled
- This experience is available on selected Friday–Sunday dates
- Minimum age: 12 years
- Maximum weight: 15 stone/95kg

- Preparation and taxiing will take approx. 10 minutes
- Please make the supplier aware of any potential medical issues when booking
- In the event of operational and weather issues on the day the landing may not occur at another airfield
- This experience is for one person but you will share the plane with one other participant

Great gift
I recently purchased this as a gift for a plane trip, and it turned out to be a great choice. I really liked that you could add a pre-selected extra for an additional charge it was optional, of course, but it definitely enhanced the overall experience and made the gift feel more special, almost reminiscent of something out of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Overall, I had a very positive experience and would absolutely consider purchasing again. I’m looking forward to using it.

Be prepared for inconvenience
They phoned to cancel when I was half way there. Booked in online, this indicated everything was OK so I set off on a 90 minute drive to the airfield. I got the call at 12:30 for an event arrival time of 13:30 Safety's paramount but a little more notice would be appreciated. "Contact your voucher company and rebook" was the reassuring message.

Rubbish! Use someone else
My partner originally bought a flight simulator voucher from buy a gift. When it came to booking 2 months after purchase Buy a gift said that the experience was no longer available even though the voucher was for 12 months. They stated there were many alternative experiences, but many of these were more expensive.
As we had no choice we did select an alternative experience but ended up spending another £200!
I’m sure the flying experience we have now booked will be fine, but the converting the voucher to an experience was a whole load of hassle and took a good half hour entertaining the same information time after time!
If you know what you would like to do, try and book it locally directly with the provider as buy a gift just want you to buy a voucher and then won’t refund when the experience is not available!
