About the experience

The even-more-impressive big brother of the MP4 12C, the 570S is the pride of the Mclaren engineering team – and it should be, with a top speed of 210mph! Shooting from 0–60mph in just 2.9 seconds and featuring that unmistakeable twin-turbo 3.8l, this car is truly one in a million and now’s your chance to drive it on a proper track. Simply select a track and a date, and you’ll get six miles in which to discover just what this incredible supercar can do! You’ll begin with a safety briefing and intro, because after all, it’s mind-blowingly fast and you’ll be driving it! A commemorative certificate will finish off your experience and you’ll have bragging rights to all petrolheads for the considerable future!

What do I need to know?

  • All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against our huge range of experiences
  • Your voucher is valid for one person
  • Available Monday–Friday. Most venues operate March–November inclusive
  • At the point of booking, you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade your vehicle, venue or to a weekend date for an additional fee, payable directly to the supplier
  • Adults shorter than 148cm (4ft 10ins) or taller than 195cm (6ft 4ins), or weighing over 20 stone, may have difficulty being accommodated
  • Minimum age: 17 years. All drivers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18
  • Drivers will be required to sign a disclaimer for liability in case of damage. Collision damage waivers available for an additional fee, payable directly to the supplier
  • Itineraries and vehicle models may vary. Images provided are intended as a guide
  • Experiences may be rescheduled due to adverse weather. You'll be contacted for alternative dates

supercar driving experience

Awesome drive in the 650s

Having attended a number of previous driving experience events I can comment that the everyman racing operation is a very well run and slick operation. I arrived at Dunsfold an hour before the drive slot as requested and was taken by their shuttle service to to main track area. From here we were directed into the registration area which was well organised with friendly and helpful staff. The process took about 10 minutes to complete then it was off to the demo lap with one of the course drivers to familiarise yourself with the track. Dunsfold is an open expanse of space and they used cones to create chicane features and turn in indicators giving you something to aim for - it's obviously not a race track but gives you enough features to enjoy the car and get a feel for cornering,braking and acceleration. The McClaren 650s spider was a complete revelation for me and a whole level above any of the previous exotic sports cars driven - this machine is insane - it felt all of the 2.9 seconds to 60mph as the speciation says! My instructor was excellent, giving clear direction and also allowing me to really open up the performance of the car when permitting. The track was relatively clear at most points so he really encouraged me to push on after the initial lap. We were so much faster than most of the other cars that overtaking was simple and I never had to back off to let anyone else past. Following the drive we experienced a passenger lap in the ariel atom - wow what a car - if you get the chance give it a go. Overall a great time from a well organised and polished process. Staff were all friendly and polite and the cars were amazing. I would imagine that at weekends or peak summer months it would be very busy but as long as you bear that in mind when booking you can manage your expectations as I didn't have to wait too long at any point in the day. Great fun and would definitely be happy to book with them again.

Disappointing Super-car experience

My dad booked this as a gift for me as I am a bit of a petrol head and love MacLaren's. This was not the experience that he was hoping for when he booked. When he originally booked it was for Leuchars however when I went to book the experience the only local option given was Lochgelly. Having looked at the track in advance it did not look suitable, as it turns out I was correct as the track was too small, too slow, too busy and too many bends for a GREAT SUPER-CAR EXPERIENCE. My dad paid for an extra two laps with an instructor but he could only go round very slowly as the track was very busy. To be on the safe side my dad took out the collision waiver but that was a waste of money as nobody was going fast enough to crash. I understand that speed has to be limited for safety but i did more braking than accelerating. I would have had a better time if i walked down to my local MacLaren showroom and asked for a test drive. After being really excited on my way to Lochgelly and telling all my friends on social media what i going to do i was very disappointed when I left. I would NOT recommend this experience to any of my friends.
