About the experience
Jump in the saddle for a fun riding lesson at the friendly Elmwood Equestrian Centre. You’ll receive a warm welcome on arrival, before being introduced to your horse, which will be allocated to you according to your ability. Then it’s time to take the reins for an hour long lesson led by a knowledgeable instructor. You’ll learn the basics – halt, walk and maybe some trotting – as you get a wonderful introduction into the age-old art of horse riding.
What do I need to know?
- Your voucher is valid for one person
- Available week round from 9am-5pm
- The riding hat can be provided by the supplier for a £5 supplement fee
- There will be a 15 minute assessment of your ability before the lesson
- All dates are subject to availability

Great gift
My daughter and I did this together
we had a great time all the people that worked there were lovely
We did the hack around the farm and then a half hour lesson where I learnt that trotting wasn’t as easy as a 47 year old as it was when I was a teenager ??
We will definitely be visiting the farm again to do some lessons again
It was a great present for two horse loving girls ??

Not great
Ok for young children and inexperienced riders but if you have experience you wouldn’t benefit from this. It was ok but not the best. Also had to pay £5 to borrow a hat, feel this should be included. I brought this for my daughter who is 11.

A lot of hassle
Booked this for my daughters birthday in July and still not going around to finding a date that is suitable along with the faff of downloading voucher codes and communicating by text message to book. I won't be doing this again. This is in no way a comment on the experience itself as I have not yet done it after 2 months but the booking process was terrible. Given two stars as the actual buying the gift process was easy but buy a gift have not looked at the whole booking experience.
