About the experience
Jump in the saddle for a fun riding lesson at the friendly Elmwood Equestrian Centre. You’ll receive a warm welcome on arrival, before being introduced to your horse, which will be allocated to you according to your ability. Then it’s time to take the reins for an hour long lesson led by a knowledgeable instructor. You’ll learn the basics – halt, walk and maybe some trotting – as you get a wonderful introduction into the age-old art of horse riding.
What do I need to know?
- Your voucher is valid for one person
- Available week round from 9am-5pm
- The riding hat can be provided by the supplier for a £5 supplement fee
- There will be a 15 minute assessment of your ability before the lesson
- All dates are subject to availability

Fantastic experience
I booked the voucher for me and mum who used to ride but haven’t for many years. The set up was professional and friendly and catered for different levels of experience. All riders were assigned a horse and a leader on lead rein and mixed hacking around the stables and land with a Q and A session with the owner (with a drink and biscuit) followed by a session trotting in the school. Individual instruction was given by the riding teacher and the helpers were knowledgeable and friendly given most were young teenagers I found this most impressive. At Elmwood equestrian centre there is a cafe and toilets on site which we made good use of. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a riding experience and are a complete beginner up to a novice

Incredible Experience ?????
We purchased an experience for our 2 girls aged 5-8 for an hour riding lesson. We arrived and was met by the a lovely instructor. We were able to hire hats and the horses are pre-set up for each rider. The girls who assisted with the horses during the session were all amazing. A real credit to the experience. The instructor was brilliant and everyone was very friendly. Even the communication with the owner to prepare before the day was brilliant. It was easy to book, and we all had a really wonderful time. Thank you ?? we will definitely be driving 3 hours to see you in the summer!
