About the experience
If you’re fascinated by birds of prey, this insightful introduction at BB Falconry is a wonderful experience. Head to Derbyshire and gain a unique insight into the world of these magnificent birds. In this informative session, you’ll get the chance to fly a selection of the centre’s incredible birds to the glove, under the guidance of an expert. From owls to hawks and falcons, you’ll get to see these majestic creatures in full flight, thriving in their natural environment.
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- Your voucher is valid for one person
- Available on at least one weekend date per month, year round
- Minimum age: 7 years
- Under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- Due to the amount of walking involved, it is important to be reasonably physically fit
- If the forecast is bad, please call the venue for a weather check before setting out. If the experience is cancelled because of bad weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date
- Dress for the outdoors, waterproof and natural coloured clothing is advised, along with wellington boots

Fantastic day out, got up close to owls and learned what was a myth and what was factual. Also learned about general bird population behaviours which were experienced during the day - educated in an engaging and friendly way.

Magical experience
Right from contacting the Falconry the service was fantastic, we were able to book on an experience as required. All instructions were clear and correct. The couple at the Falconry were so welcoming and made us feel at ease right from the beginning. They were clearly passionate about all the birds, they were approachable to ask questions, fantastic interaction. The aviaries were beautiful, very clean, the birds were all so well cared for and loved that was clear to see. The Owls were stunning, I learnt so much from the experience and had lots of opportunity to hold/ fly the birds. I would definitely arrange this experience again.
