About the experience
Get hands-on with some of Derbyshire’s most impressive hunters as an expert falconer introduces you to owls, hawks and falcons. You’ll learn the basics of falconry and enjoy the thrill of flying these magnificent birds to the glove, watching them sweep across the sky before returning to you. Expect plenty of close-up moments and memorable photo opportunities as you take in their power and precision.
What do I need to know?
- Our vouchers are flexible and may be used to select and book an experience from our range via our website
- Your voucher is valid for two people
- Available on at least one weekend date per month, year round
- Minimum age: 7 years; under 16s must be accompanied by a participating adult
- This experience lasts around three hours
- You'll share the experience with up to ten other participants
- Spectators are welcome at the centre for a fee of £10 per person
- If the forecast is bad, please call the venue for a weather check before setting out; if the experience is cancelled due to bad weather, it will be re-booked for an alternative date
- Dress for the outdoors; waterproof and natural-coloured clothing is advised, along with wellington boots
- Feel free to bring binoculars, a camera, or both
- Due to the amount of walking involved, it is important to be reasonably physically fit
