Overnight stay for husband’s birthday
We arrived and were shown our “superior room” and the carpets were threadbare and it smelt of damp with a large damp patch on the floor by the bathroom. We moved rooms to a bigger room, which was better, but there were what looked like crayon markings in the bath. I asked reception if there was a suite available, they said no, but I looked online and there was one showing available and so we moved into there after paying a further £50. We then went for dinner and with the added extras I ended up paying a further £65 so I wasn’t happy overall.
After dinner I was also very sick and poorly and was unable to attend breakfast the following morning.
The receptionist was lovely and helpful but you should no way be showing pictures of the superior bedrooms when the carpets are threadbare, they were not even up to standard. We would never go back, sadly. It was a terrible letdown.

Lovely couple getaway
I wasn’t sure what to get for my girlfriend for her birthday so this was the perfect gift. The hotel was great , the staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. I would definitely buy a voucher again, there’s so much choice

Poor value
I had expected superior room and 2 glasses of fizz at dinner
The room was cold the central heating not working ( heated was put in the room ) expected 2 glasses of fizz at dinner and a wider selection of meals

Best 50th Birthday Gift ever
Fabulous from Start to finish, Laura on check in was exceptiomal so friendly with great Knowledge. Rooms are Beautifully done ,food in restaurant hot n delicious with great Service ,stunning Hotel 10 outta 10 and if i was planning a wedding this is where it would be , great Location stunninh Views and a Beautiful buliding
