Fantastic!
Just left - had an amazing night away. It was a gift for my boyfriend for his 40th and our anniversary. The food was impeccable, we couldn’t resist having 3 courses it was so good! The bed was so comfortable and the staff and spa facilities were all fantastic. Such great value we’d love to come back!

Lovely meal and relaxing night
Stayed at the Barn Hotel as a halfway point on holiday. We have stayed before but only bed and breakfast. This time we had a Buyagift voucher including an evening meal. The food was excellent. We had slow roasted lamb and it was indeed "melt in the mouth" and so tasty with mint mash. The room had everything you could wish for and breakfast in the morning was lovely. The restaurant staff were 'stand-out' helpful as were the reception ladies.

Nice stay
So the hotel and rooms are very nice, the room was lovely. My wife has a treatment while there and thought was great. Downside, didn't get much sleep due to a noise, sounded like whistling from fan in bathroom, attention to detail, no spare loo roll, and ran out of shower gel and TV remote needed batteries, little things that make a big difference. The spa facilities, pool, sauna, steam room and area to to sit outside was lovely, though did get very busy at times. The food was excellent, nice choice for eve meal and the breakfast was a great choice of everything, again pay attention to the times given when busy as does get very busy and hot food runs out quickly. Location is very handy as just off A1 and only 15min from Grantham by car.

Check in - got there at 2 but room not ready until 3
Room - large but very tired, knobs missing on drawers and furniture carpet could do with replacing
Spa - pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi all good, but again could do with areas looking at
Dinner included - didn’t fancy the set meal so we’re given £25 each to spend in bar - food was very good apart from garlic bread and drinks were expensive.
Staff were very helpful, especially Phil in restaurant/bar
