About the experience
With over 30 awards to their name, Brockleby’s are true masters of the pie-making craft. During this immersive two-hour workshop for one, you’ll step behind the scenes at their Melton Mowbray bakery and discover the rich history behind their celebrated pies. Begin with a guided tour and learn about their traditional techniques followed by a live demonstration on crafting a hand-raised pork pie. Then, roll up your sleeves and create your own authentic Melton Mowbray Pork Pie, made to a 250-year-old recipe and filled with succulent Packington free-range pork, all encased in Brockleby’s signature hot water crust pastry.

Accessible for wheelchair users and great fun
Brocklebys where great. Easy to contact ( unlike buyagift) and made sure I was given a lower table to work on. The evening was great fun and our pies where amongst the best there (though we are both hands on arty people :-)

A QUALITY EXPERIENCE THAT YOU REALLY CAN TAKE HOME WITH YOU
What an amazing and informative evening the pie making experience is. With an excellent and personable tutor, it really does stretch your practical capabilities, in a very rewarding way. I never knew there was so much to making those delicious pork pies. The course is extremely well organised and delivered, with plenty of instructions to take away, to complete the cooking of your 'masterpiece' at home. I can't wait to sample the nights work. If you want an experience that is just a little bit different, try your hand at this old english traditional craft... you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic Experience
This was a birthday gift I had bought my partner as a surprise. I purchased the Ultimate Pie Making Experience, and it was a great way to spend nearly 3 hours on a Saturday morning. The teacher was brilliant, lots of facts about the area of Melton Mowbray and about the pork pies we were making. It is suitable for everyone, as you are taken through step by step. You also get to go home with at least two pies each. The place next to the venue is also excellent for food and drinks.

Brilliant Pie Making
Great experience at Melton Mowbray. Brockleby's Pie Making was everything we thought it would be. There were 12 people doing the experience. we were able to try the Pork Pie we were going to make before we started, delicious. We had aprons and were supplied with hairnets, we all had working stations. The whole experience was a delight from the history of how the pie making began, to the demonstration and instructions of how to make the pie. Putting the pastry on the Dolly was tricky but help was there if needed. We brought our uncooked pies home with full instructions on cooking, freezing and adding the jelly. I would definitely recommend this experience. Great night had by all.
